Discipleship:

Have you ever been to a church and just felt like you were not much more than a number?  Have you ever sat in a lesson that had a lot of good points but didn't answer any of the burning questions you have?  One of the ways to ensure that doesn't happen is to join our discipleship journey.

Discipleship is not just a program, it's a way of life.  Jesus calls us to a life of constant learning, growing and spiritual maturing.  One of the primary ways we can live in to this is to enter in to a mentor/disciple relationship with a Christian who is further on their journey than we are.  A person who can teach us, help us to grow, walk with us through the hard times, guide us through the scary times and run with us through the good times.  A person who can help us learn how to hear the Lord speaking to us.  A person who can help us grow past our weaknesses and can help us to see that we are truly loved children of the Lord most high.

Personal one-on-one discipleship also helps us not to be a group of nameless, one-size-fits-all lessons.  Every person is an individual and has individual needs that must be met in order to grow.  Discipleship helps to meet those personal needs.  It also helps us to see that we are not alone in our struggles.
