Prayer Ministry at Santa Fe Christian Church

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16.

The purpose of the prayer ministry is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.  We believe prayer can help both the individual person and the church corporately.

Personal

You can renew your personal passion for Jesus through praying unceasingly (Psalm 51:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:17).

 The Church

We can reclaim the church as a house of prayer with a passion for lost people (Mark 11:17; Luke 19:10).

We believe that God uses prayer to release His power into our lives and our circumstances. We have a number of opportunities for people to receive prayer, as well as be trained to pray more authentically.

Altar Prayer

At the conclusion of each of our worship gatherings, we have a prayer team that is available to pray for anyone in need.  Be it a spiritual, physical financial or emotional need please join them at the front of the Worship Center for prayer.

Prayer Chain

For emergency needs, we utilize an e-mail prayer chain consisting of 40 to 50 intercessors. You can submit a prayer request to Regina Salas at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Mid-Week Prayer Meeting

Vernon and Natasha Achord lead this group that meets each Thursday in the church library. This ministry focuses specifically on prayer for our church, community, country and the world. Teams of people pray for the pastor and church leaders, our community and nation’s leaders as well as for the needs of those in our local congregation.

Intercessory Prayer

There are teams of intercessors that offer a prayer covering for all evangelistic events sponsored by Santa Fe Christian Church.

2010 SFCC PRAYER FOCUS

In the Spring of 2010 prayer will be the focus of SFCC.  Pastor Darrell will be delivering a 5-week sermon series entitled “Lord Teach Us To Pray.” The focus of our discipleship program will also be on prayer during that series. The prayer focus will culminate with members of SFCC participating in an evangelistic outreach by prayerwalking Santa Fe, TX.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5: 14-15.
